Fantaye Belayneh and Isaia Kipkoech Lasoi claim victory at the BAA Boston Half

Fantaye Belayneh of Ethiopia successfully defended her title as the women's champion at the 2025 BAA Boston Half, securing victory with a time of 1:08:51 after an exciting sprint finish. She maintained a strategic approach by remaining with the lead group for most of the race, then executed a powerful sprint in the final moments. Her finish time of 1:08:51 ranks as the fourth-fastest on the Boston Half course.
Melknat Wudu secured second place, trailing by only two seconds. Wudu completed the race in 1:08:53, resulting in an Ethiopian 1–2 finish. Evaline Chirchir completed the top three with a time of 1:09:01, after assisting in setting the early pace alongside Megan Hasz-Sailor from the USA.









The men's competition at the 2025 B.A.A. Boston Half Marathon, taking place on November 9, 2025, showcased an exciting array of international talent. The event, beginning and ending in Franklin Park, Boston, drew top athletes from across the globe.
Isaia Kipkoech Lasoi claimed victory with a time of 1:00:59, gaining the lead in the last miles to clinch the win. Santiago Catrofe delivered an outstanding performance, finishing in 1:01:23, marking one of the top international showings in the history of the Boston Half. Andrea Kiptoo secured the third spot on the podium with a time of 1:01:30.
Chandler Gibbens was the highest-ranking American, finishing 5th overall with a personal best time of 1:01:57. Sam Chelanga took 6th place, completing the race in 1:03:28, demonstrating both consistency and resilience.
