Isabelle Boffey and Roisin Willis run fast 800M times at BU

Isabelle Boffey recorded the second fastest indoor 800m time by a British athlete, finishing in 1:57.43 to secure a victory at the John Thomas Terrier Classic in Boston.


The 25-year-old improved her previous best time, whether indoors or outdoors, by nearly two seconds and is now second only to 2024 Olympic champion Keely Hodgkinson, who holds the British indoor 800m record at 1:57.18. Boffey's time is the fastest globally this year, making her the eighth-fastest woman ever over this distance indoors.


Roisin Willis sets the American record at BU in a time of 1:57.97, finishing second behind Isabelle Boffey.
