A few big names came out to run in the women's 800 meters with professionals Nia Akins and Ajee Wilson running in the first heat. However, the college women would take the top three spots with Michaela Rosa from LSU winning the heat and posting the fastest time of the day. Harvard's Sophia Gorriaran finished second with Oregon's Wilma Nielsen finishing third. (Ajee Wilson finished sixth in the heat and overall. Unfortunately, Nia Akins did not finish the race.)
