Women's 3000m
The women's 3000m event at the USATF Indoor Championships began with the competitors running at a fairly moderate speed for the initial laps. Elise Cranny, unwilling to maintain a slow pace for long, took the lead. Elle St. Pierre set the pace for the majority of the concluding laps but was overtaken by Emily Mackay just before the last turn. Emily Mackay then surged ahead and left Elle St. Pierre behind to secure the win.

Men's 3000m
This latest iteration of Cole Hocker runs like a champion at the start of races, and this 3000m event was no different. He took the early lead and controlled the pace for most of the race. In the final laps, he exchanged the lead with Nico Young and Yared Nuguse. Nico Young made a strong push off the final turn. Cole Hocker had to move wide to find open ground for the final sprint to the finish. Yared Nuguse noticed the opening on the rail created by Nico Young. The sprint to the photo finish was spectacular. Just 4/100 of a second separated first from third, with Cole Hocker emerging victorious, Yared Nuguse taking second, and Nico Young narrowly missing out and finishing third.
