The first day of the BU John Thomas Terrier Classic was devoted to women's track and field events. There were many outstanding performances and thrilling races.
2024 Paris Olympics silver medalist Salwa Eid Naser ran the eight fastest time ever in the 500m (1:08.34.) She paid the price for a strong opening 200M, fighting hard in the final 30 meters of the race. Elise Cranny ran 4:20.83 in the mile in her season opener. That fast time places her at number six on the all-time US list for the event.
