3000m — Women’s Race
The women’s 3000m at the GBTC Invitational unfolded with the kind of calculated aggression that Gordon Track seems to draw out of athletes every winter. The initial laps settled into a disciplined rhythm, with packs forming and dissolving as the pace intensified. By the midpoint, the leading group had created a clear gap. The final kilometer intensified everything: controlled breathing gave way to determination, long strides became urgent as the bell lap arrived. It was a race characterized by patience until it wasn’t — a late surge secured the win and set the tone for the subsequent distance events.

3000m — Men’s Race
The men’s 3000m brought a different energy — a little looser early, more tactical, and unmistakably competitive once the field realized the clock was on their side. A small pack carried the pace through the first mile, each athlete testing the rail, the rhythm, and each other. With four laps to go, the race snapped awake: a bold move from the front, and a chase forming behind. The final laps were all commitment, athletes straining for clean lines through the turns and one last controlled burn down the homestretch. It was a classic invitational 3K — honest, fast, and full of athletes ready to open their seasons with intent.
