Founded in 1973, the Falmouth Road Race has grown into one of the top running events of the summer. Annually, it attracts a global lineup of Olympians, elite athletes, and recreational runners who come to experience the renowned 7-mile seaside course.
As the oldest competitive wheelchair race in the country, the 50th anniversary of the wheelchair division welcomed back two Falmouth and global legends, both vying for their sixth victory there. In the men’s race, Daniel Romanchuk and Tatyana McFadden won their respective divisions of the wheelchair race. The wheelchair division celebrated its 50th year.
In the women's open division, Melknat Wudu edged out Emma Grace Hurley by one second. On the men's side, Amon Kemboi claimed victory, finishing five seconds ahead of Patrick Kiprop.
