Runners Pay Tribute to Veterans at the DAV 5K Boston.

Boston, MA

Runners and walkers showed their support for disabled veterans at the DAV 5K Boston held Saturday morning, November 7, 2026 in Boston.

Almost 900 runners and walkers crossed the finish line at the 2026 edition of the DAV 5K Boston under cloudy and at times, rainy skies. The event was held at the DCR Fort Independence at Castle Island, in Boston. Nearly $80,000 was raised by the event to support Massachusetts Veterans. Charitable funds raised by the event go to the DAV Department of Massachusetts, which is committed to "making a year-round difference for our veterans in Massachusetts."

Ieva MacInnes was the first female to cross the finish line in a time of 19:16. Ryan Harris led the men, stopping the clock at 16:44

Lisa Hughes from WBZ TV Channel 4 indicated in remarks that the event had grown quite a lot from the first year's "12 runners and cupcakes on the Commons" to the magnificent event it's grown into, in its 11th addition. The DAV 5K Boston has become a must race event, selling out in August, the fastest in the event's history.
