Inaugural 5K Bob's Way at Franklin Park

The Bob Hall Legacy Fund and REquipment hosted the 1st 5K Bob’s Way at Franklin Park on September 12, 2026 in Boston. The event brought together runners, walkers, wheelchair athletes, families, teams, and community partners to honor the legacy of Bob Hall. It was more than a 5K. It was a community event built around legacy, inclusion, and access.

More than fifty years after Bob Hall became the first wheelchair athlete to officially complete the Boston Marathon, his legacy continues to inspire a movement focused on improving mobility, independence, and access for people with disabilities across Massachusetts. The Bob Hall Legacy Fund enables supporters to supply refurbished mobility equipment that transforms lives for children, adults, veterans, and families in greatest need.
