Sunday morning with Black Men Run Boston

Black Men Run Boston hosted their annual Boston Marathon weekend shakeout run, on Sunday April 19, 2026 at Copley Square. The 2026 run explored the South End's Green Book, bringing history to life with stories of Black travel, jazz clubs, and community spaces.

Over the course of 2.6 miles, the runners listened to stories that featured jazz clubs, historic homes, and community gathering spots that influenced the Black travel experience in Boston. This was a leisurely, conversational run centered on community, history, and exploration. The run ended at the Finish Line of the Boston Marathon.
