The event successfully brought together residents, local businesses, and city officials in a celebration of health, wellness, and unity. The Mattapan Unity 5K Fete was run by the husband/wife team of Robert Innis and Ruth Georges-Innis. They were able to partner with the Cummins Highway Neighborhood Association, Greater Mattapan Neighborhood Council and Mattapan Food and Fitness Coalition.

- Boston 10K: A Race to Remember
The Boston 10K took place on Sunday, June 22, 2025. This event was organized by the Boston Athletic Association in collaboration with Brigham and Women's Hospital. A Beautifully Revised Route This year's race showcased a revised Boston 10K route. Runners enjoyed picturesque views of the Charles River. The race concluded at Boston Common. During the final mile, participants crossed the iconic Boston Marathon finish line on Boylston Street. They then continued to the Boston 10K finish on Charles Street, right next to Boston Common. Kenya’s Sharon Lokedi earned her second B.A.A. race win of the year. She built upon her course record at the Boston Marathon presented by Bank of America in April. Meanwhile, Tanzania’s Gabriel Geay claimed his third Boston 10K men’s title since 2018. Notably, American Paralympic medalists and Boston Marathon champions Tatyana McFadden and Daniel Romanchuk led the wheelchair divisions. - Harvest Triathlon
The Harvest Triathlon was held in Wareham, MA on Sunday, June 8, 2025. The event was run by MAXperformance. The Harvest Triathlon features two race distances: sprint and Olympic. The Sprint Triathlon features a 1/3 mile swim, followed by the 11.5 mile bike and concludes with a 3.5 mile run. The Olympic distance has a .9 mile swim, 19.5 mile bike and the 6.2 mile run. The day began with temperatures in the sixties and quickly warmed to the low 70’s by the finish of the sprint triathlon. Jenny Gormley won the women’s division of the sprint triathlon in an overall time of 1:05:39. She posted the second fastest time in the swim, and one of the fastest times on the bike portion. Her 6:36 pacing in the run solidified her victory. Lauren Casey solid performances in each of the disciplines enabled her to finish in the second position ahead third place finisher Alexis Wilmot. During the bike portion of the race, Ginger managed to reduce Noelle's lead, narrowing the gap to less than two minutes. Ginger Reiner excelled in the running segment, recording the day's fastest time to secure first place in the women's overall category. Hannah Boyce performed impressively in every discipline, recording fast times to secure a second-place finish.
