  • Boston Firefighters Memorial Road Race

    Dorchester, MA The 43rd annual Boston Firefighters Memorial Road Race took place on October 12, 2025, in Dorchester, MA. Despite the cloudy skies, the rain stayed away for the 5K and 10K races. More than 700 runners and walkers participated in the road races that benefit the brave men and women of the Boston Fire Department. Almost $7,000 was raised for the Boston Fire Department Relief Fund. Event details and race results linked here .     Lowell, MA The 2025 Baystate Marathon and Half Marathon was held on October 19, 2025 in Lowell, MA. The Marathon is run by the Greater Lowell Road Runners and is run by volunteers. Link here In the women's marathon event, Caitlin Mcginley claimed victory with an impressive time of 2:37:12. Marie Barnett secured second place with a time of 2:50:09, while Elena Doty came in third, finishing in 2:50:30.   • Smuttynose Rockfest Half Marathon and 5K

    Hampton, NH On October 5, 2025, the Smuttynose Rockfest Half Marathon and 5K races took place in Hampton, NH, under sunny skies and warm weather. The 5K race saw over 1600 participants cross the finish line, while the half marathon had more than 2500 finishers.   • 2025 NEICAAA Cross Country Championships

    Hopkinton, NH The 2025 NEICAAA Cross Country Championships were held on October 10, 2025 at the Hopkinton Fairgrounds in Hopkinton, N.H. The women's teams competed in a 5K championship distance, with the men running an 8K race. The Providence College women's team secured victory, accumulating 67 points with top performers. The University of Maine's women's team came in second, earning 82 points. The University of New Hampshire took third place with 109 points. On the men's side, the University of Rhode Island claimed the top spot with 60 points. UMass Amherst finished in the second position, accumulating 107 points. The University of Maine placed third with 112 points.

  • Gut Check Adventure Triathlon

    Brewster, MA New England Endurance Events hosted the Gut Check Adventure Triathlon on September 27, 2025, at Nickerson State Park in Brewster, MA. This triathlon is uniquely crafted to stand apart from traditional triathlons. The race begins with a run, then a bike followed by a swim then another run. Rinse and repeat. The intriguing aspect of the Gut Check Triathlon is that athletes receive the course directions only 15 minutes before the race starts. This absence of prior course information compels participants to rely on their navigation skills as they race through the forest. Maxwell Christopher secured the overall first place and was the first male to complete the race, while Sara Jackson was the first female to finish.

  • Buzzards Bay Triathlon

    The Buzzards Bay Triathlon was held on Sunday, September 14, 2025 in Westport, MA under sunny conditions. In the Sprint Triathlon, on the men's side, Aaronn Gu posted the fastest time of the day, 59:03. He was followed closely by William Mcelgunn who placed second with a time of 59:04. Phinehas Mcdowell secured the third position in 59:25. In the women's competition, Elizabeth Fetter placed first with a time of 1:05:40. Ginger Reiner came in second in 1:07:53.   • Title 9 Women's Triathlon

    Hopkinton, MA The 2025 Title 9 Women’s Triathlon began and ended under tough late-summer conditions, as athletes braved cold rain, slick roads, and a steady wind at Hopkinton State Park. What might have been a perfect early-fall race day instead became a true test of resilience — and a showcase of determination from women of all ages and experience levels. The Title 9 Women's Triathlon is a part of the USA Triathlon's Women's Series which spans the multisport season and features 37 women's-focused events across the country. In the USA Triathlon Women's Series, the Title 9 Women's Triathlon is the sole event held in New England during the Fall triathlon season. Cold, wet, and unforgettable: the 2025 Title 9 Triathlon wasn’t defined by the rain but by the athletes who refused to be slowed by it. From first-timers to veterans, every finisher carried the proof of resilience across the line — soaked to the skin, but most were smiling all the same.   • Fairgrounds 5K and Mile

    Cumberland, Maine Runners of all ages lined up under sunny skies at the Cumberland Fairgrounds on Sunday morning, ready to test their fitness in the inaugural Fairgrounds 5K and Mile races. The community-focused event blended spirited competition with a family-friendly atmosphere, drawing athletes from across southern Maine. The Elite Mile brought the drama. With a strong finishing kick, Luke Marsanskis edged out Aaron Willingham in the final 10 yards, crossing in 4:21.99. The women’s mile saw Clare Franco put up a strong performances with a wire-to-wire victory in 5:26.87. Matt Rand secured victory in the men's open mile with a time of 4:42.81, while Daniel Bannon took second place, finishing in 4:52.72. Ayla Strattard won the women's division, finishing ahead of Lucy Flores. Ayla posted a time of 6:49.67. Lucy finished second in 7:12.62. In the 5K, Colin Cernik took command early, surging ahead on the second loop before breaking the tape in 14:43.12. On the women’s side, Emily Durgin impressed with a decisive move after the mile mark, cruising home in 18:56.26. Both performances capped a splendid day that balanced fast times with celebration. Beyond the leaders, the Fairgrounds atmosphere was electric: youth runners sprinting their first mile, masters athletes showing resilience, and entire families crossing the finish line together.   • Old Goat Track Club XC Classic

    Sutton, MA The Old Goat Track Club XC Classic occurred on Sunday, August 24, 2025, marking the start of the USATF New England Grand Prix and is the cross country portion of the USATF New England All Terrain Series. The event was hosted at the beautiful Waters Farm in Sutton, MA. Holly Rees claimed the top spot in the women's 5K race, completing it in 18:10. She represents Battle Road Track Club. Mitchell Dailey, representing Old Goat Track Club, the host club of the event, secured the top position with a time of 15:31.   • 2025 NCAA DI Indoor Track and Field Championships

    Virginia Beach, VA Wilma Neilsen delivered an outstanding performance in the women's 1 mile race, showcasing a tactical championship style. She skillfully avoided any mishaps, such as stumbles or trips, to secure the title, surpassing a remarkable field that included the NCAA record holder (and her teammate). _________________________________________________________________ In the women's 3000 meters, Ceili McCabe delivered a powerful finish to claim victory in the last 70 meters. Ceili managed to outpace Doris Lemngole to clinch the title. Unfortunately, Pamela Kosgei stumbled (tripped) in the final stretch. She regained her composure and rose to complete the race in eleventh place. __________________________________________________________________ In the men's 400 meters, Will Floyd from Georgia narrowly defeated Baylor's Nathaniel Ezekiel by 0.01 seconds to claim the national title. Auhmad Robinson secured victory in the first heat and placed third overall. __________________________________________________________________ It's clear the race was tight when the top five finishers were divided by under a second. Matthew Erickson from Oregon claimed victory in the men's 800 meters, narrowly beating Mississippi State's fast-approaching Abdullahi Hassan. Aiden McCarthy finished just under three-tenths of a second behind to take third place. __________________________________________________________________ Ethan Strand executed a strategic race to claim victory in the men's 3000-meter run. The initial pace was fast but manageable. Ethan remained close to the leaders and made a decisive move with two laps remaining. Gary Martin and Adam Spencer competed fiercely down the home stretch to secure second and third places. __________________________________________________________________ By now, you've read about the relay carnage in the men's 4x400.   • Falmouth Road Race

    Falmouth, MA Founded in 1973, the Falmouth Road Race has grown into one of the top running events of the summer. Annually, it attracts a global lineup of Olympians, elite athletes, and recreational runners who come to experience the renowned 7-mile seaside course. As the oldest competitive wheelchair race in the country, the 50th anniversary of the wheelchair division welcomed back two Falmouth and global legends, both vying for their sixth victory there. In the men’s race, Daniel Romanchuk and Tatyana McFadden won their respective divisions of the wheelchair race. The wheelchair division celebrated its 50th year. In the women's open division, Melknat Wudu edged out Emma Grace Hurley by one second. On the men's side, Amon Kemboi claimed victory, finishing five seconds ahead of Patrick Kiprop. Olguine Augustin finishes with arms held high. Olguine completed the race in 52:05 which placed her in seventh for her age division at the Falmouth Road Race on August 17, 2025 in Falmouth, MA.
